My name is Valeria Marta Lakrisenko. I have been doing easel painting for many years and exploring the traditions of psychological portraiture. Portraiture is an amazing practice of working with the attention of the viewer, in which the person depicted receives a new dimension of existence. It shifts attention to the register of a long study of the form, character of a person, his psychology. The long-term focus on the figure of painting, the inclusion of its context and the search for new visual techniques is what interests me in the development of modern painting.
